already a morning full of drama.
well, not really...
herschel and i went out on our morning walk and ran into crystal, our 2 doors down neighbor with the 3 dogs (Daisy) and 18 cats. We talked for about 15 minutes. I gotta hand it to her, appearances really can be deceiving. She and her house and her husband look and smell like the definition of white trash but she told me about 10 of her cats - why they named them different names, which ones she's spayed/neutered, which one was about to have another batch of kittens because she couldn't spay her in time.
2 of her cats I love so much - peanuts and possum.
oh and daisy is OK! Except the dogs are being aggressive toward her, probably cause she's wrapped in a cast, so crystal won't let her out into the yard. which, i of course, think should always be the rule of thumb from here on out.
Anyways, so herschel and i continued on our walk and a pit bull was running around the street. I was like WTF?! He came up to Herschel and sniffed him and Herschel, of course, went on the offensive, but the Pit Bull just chilled. He was a big guy too. Anyway, this woman came over with a rope and asked me if I knew who's dog this was and I said no and she said she called the number on the tag but there was no answer and his tags didn't have an address. So Herschel and I guiltily continued home (cause i thought i should help) and Eric was leaving for work so i told him about the loose dog and he asked me if he had a limp which i said "why yes he did!" and he said that's the pit bull who lives next to us who cornered Daisy on Sunday!
So Barney got home rather easily and non-eventfully.
Now I'm at work.
9 hours I'll be free again. Well, for 2 days at least.
cleaning all weekend - my mama's coming to visit next weekend and right now it's not only impossible to walk into the guestroom, but impossible to scrapbook in there too!
My brother invited me to his boss's annual Cinco de Mayo party tommorrow afternoon. So, that's good and this time I'll know to bring my own beer.
