Wow.
Best night EVER. Well, right up there.
Things just keep getting better for me!
Kinda. Work still sucks but at least off work I'm having the time of my life!!
I can't even begin to write down EVERYTHING.
It's gonna take a good couple of days, if not a week to cover it all. Let it sink in.
I think I'm going to have to write up 2 "interviews" - a straightforward one and a "fangirl" one.
I can't believe I didn't tape half of it though, so i hope I can remember most of it.
It was fucking wild.
We "hung out" for 4 hours together - the first thing he says to me after "hey you!" is "Adam couldn't come tonight so you have to be my date" and I had no problemo with that :) I was his "shield" for rabid fans - "um casey, let's finish this interview...." was his 'out' when the crazies were being crazy.
Where do i even start?
Casey is 1 of the most special people ever. And I'm not being that biased. Watching him in action told me that. He's genuine, funny, curious, intelligent, handsome, sensitive, energetic - what us straight girls want straight men to be, but most seem to fall short.
There is soooooo much I want to preserve in my memory that won't be in the final interview. Shouldn't be in the final interview, that is.
Most importantly we hit it right off - like old friends. I don't even think I asked him actual questions most of the time.
AND we talked about our emails and clarified some shit up (like when he told me he couldn't talk to me anymore last summer which he claims I wrote to him so he was just reiterating and we argued about that for a minute).
Warren was also very very nice.
Though I only got to talk to him for about 5 minutes. I finally solved the Madison question. He went to high school here.
That was nice to talk about the area. He seemed incredibly gentile.
Starting at the beginning, Sarah and i had been there watching people and watching for the boys and it was a little after 11pm and i was starting to be like, oh fuck this isn't going to happen, so we decided to go into this side tent the venue had set up where the Brazillian Girls were going to perform. As we're walking I see Warren so my instinct was to, of course, go up to him and stop him and say "Hey Warren - I'm Lara - we're supposed to talk tonight" and he was like "ya ya - hi!"
He asked me if I knew what was going on and I was like "no ... shouldn't you?" and he's like "I never know shit" and I grabbed his arm and said "like people lead you around like this" and he said "ya - well we'll just have to hang out all night not knowing anything" or something like that, and I was like "fine with me." Then a little while later he left trying to find someone who knew what he was supposed to be doing.
Oh and I asked him where Casey was and he said he wasn't there yet but would be in a half an hour or so.
So, Sarah and I went back upstairs and just had a drink and watched people. After a little while I was like, "I'm going to go find Warren again" cause I wanted to talk to him more. As I was walking to the stairs I felt someone tap me on my shoulder and say "hey you!" I spun around and standing in front of me was Casey. In a sparkly fitted suit and tie. I was like "Hi Casey! You look great!" and he said "have you seen Warren?" and I told him I was actually looking for him and last time I saw him he was standing there...which he wasn't anymore.
There were 3 other people with Casey and he said to follow him - they were trying to figure out where to go.

casey's fabulous suit. of course pics don't do it justice but it was just as sparkly as is eyes :)
We found the "VIP" area which was right off the dancefloor - roped off really - and sat down. Casey was like "that's Larry" to the guy sitting next to me and I was like "hey..." so we're sitting there a few minutes and I'm like DUH - "umm, Casey, can i ask you a stupid question? Is that Larry T?" and he said "ya - i told you his name was Larry" and i was like "but you left the T off - he's a lot taller than I expected" so I turned to Larry and said "hey - I really like your mixed CDs - I bought one at Borders of all places a couple of years ago!" and he laughed and said "really?" and I nodded and said "ya, it helped me get back into cardio at the gym - it's all I listened to for a couple of weeks" and he smiled and said "thanks - it's a really good collection of music - right?" and I nodded. Then he got up to do something so i turned back to Casey. But we got distracted cause a waitress was filling the table in front of us with all sorts of assorted alcohol and stemware. Enough for a huge party - not the 5 of us who were sitting there! And I wasn't in a super drinking mood at that point cause I needed to keep my head together for the interview and i had already had 3 Red Bull-Vodkas which had made me a little buzzy cause I hadn't eaten since lunch.

why must i always look like a freak in picutures????
I guess, that this point we started "the interview."
So, I'll stop there and wait til I sleep a little more (got home at 6:30am and woke up at 9am with Eric) to tackle the transposing process. I'm really pissed I forgot to tape a lot of the interview. We came back to it a couple of times and it was only the first part did I have the tape going. At one point Casey just grabbed the sheet of paper with my questions and started reading them and talking about them which I didn't have the recorder on for. He said he was really curious about what I, a fan, would ask. That most interviews are really boring. I think my questions may have been a little serious too. But, at least I got answers to a lot of them - some i can share, some I can't. Well only with certain company, I guess.

Vanessa, FS dancer and choreographer extraordinaire
At one point Casey left to go to the DJ booth and make his "appearance" and at this point Vanessa and Stephanis, the 2 dancers that accompanied FS for the evening TOTALLY "accosted" me = they swarmed me on either side with all this crazy energy. They're like "YOU RUN FUCKYOUCASEYSPOONER.COM!! We LOVE your site!!! You have such great pictures of us - the dancers never get pictures taken!" And I was like "ya!" and they said "last time we were in chicago we came out to our tour bus and there were pictures on the windows and it was the best pictures we've ever seen of us!" and I said "I put those there!!! We waited for you guys to come out for at least an hour and then got shooed out of the area and I had brought those pictures to get signed but since that didn't happen I just put them there for you all to enjoy" and Vanessa said "They're great! I still have 1 on my fridgerator!" And I said, oh from "LA Song?" and she like, ummm, nooo, um... what was is ... of The 15th! And that really is a GREAT picture. I said "my friend Matthew took those at Heat in Chicago - isn't he a good photographer?" and they agreed. It was funny - they were SO contagious and energetic and full of compliments :) I also "pumped" them for gossip on the FS management debaucle which was cute, IMHO. They were impressed and shocked about how much I knew about the band and its background - and that I knew their names without them telling me, heh heh. I kept saying "that's cause us fans remember shit like that." In fact Casey also made a comment about how fans know more about his life then he does sometimes!
OK, tha'ts it for now.
I can tell this is going to start a streak of a couple of sleepless nights.
*sigh*

Sarah and I
oh and - wtf - my horoscope for today sounds rather ominous:
Here is your horoscope for Saturday, May 21:
Simmer down, now. You need to draw back and regroup. Does that sound like battle
strategy? Well, it should. You may not be fighting with anyone, but you'll
definitely need to defend yourself -- from the rabid fans
